In Philippians 4:13, the apostle Paul said, I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. That is one of my favorite verses in the Bible. “I can do.” Paul was God’s can-do man! Think about it for a moment: he had a can-do attitude in a “can’t-do” atmosphere. A can-do mentality in a “you-can’t do-it” world.
Many times in my life I’ve had people tell me, “You can’t do this,” or “you’ll never be able to do that.” I’m sure you have too. There’s always someone around to give us the gospel of “you can’t.”
But God’s Word to us through Paul is, “You can do all things through Christ!” You might think, Well, that was the apostle Paul. But let me give you some insight into his circumstances. Paul said those words from a Roman jail cell. He was in prison because he preached and brought healing to people in need. Yet he kept a can-do attitude. And if he did, we can too!
You might be in some type of prison today. Maybe you’re in jail, or maybe you’re in a prison of sickness or lack or mental oppression. I’ve got news for you: the Bible says you can still be God’s can-do man or woman! No matter what you’re going through, if you’ll put your trust in God and believe what He has said about you in His Word, you can make up your mind that you’re going to succeed. I set my faith in agreement with you right now that you can do all things through Christ which strengthens you!
