you just about ready? Give her a big welcome. I’m Dave Legget, Executive Director of International Word Fellowship, headquarter 30 miles out of Tulsa here in Choteau, Oklahoma. I have follow Oral Roberts Ministry for almost 38 years and when you consider that I’m 37 years old you might find that had to believe. But I was born in July of 1947 and yet my mother was in Oral Roberts’ meeting here in Tulsa out on North Main in May in 1947 and I was inside of her.
And even from before my birth I have been a part of this ministry in one fashion or another and I’ve always felt close to this ministry. I was one of the first people, and I count it as a privilege to say this, that I was one of the very first people to ever enroll in Oral Roberts University, one of that very first class. And when I started here as a student in 1965 there was only 3 or 4 buildings completed. Everywhere we played football in those days, they’ve built buildings today.
Then when I heard of the ambition of the healing center, I was excited because I sort of miss the old tent meeting days, I sort of miss the actual hands-on ministry of Oral Roberts, and I know that having come as he has worded it, full circle, the excitement and the fervor is going to come back into his ministry. Not that it ever left, but it was just channeled in a different direction. And my wife and I have made a decision to become supporters of the ministry in regards to the healing center and we’re going to support it with at least $48 per square foot.
I think we’ll probably take ten square feet ourselves. I just want to be able to say that I am a part of this because long after Oral Roberts has gone to his reward, I believe the healing center will continue his ministry right here in this area.)
