And I appreciate that it’s a healing evangelist who is the president of one of the major universities on the earth, Oral Roberts University, that a healing evangelist with a wife that’s in the healing ministry, you are gifted academically as well to be president of this university.  And your mother and I well, honey, you speak for yourself.

ER: Well, we talk a lot when we’re away from you and we’re watching you on television.  I turn to your dad and I said, “I’m so grateful to God that He gave us a son who would obey God.”  And then He gave Richard a wife who would obey God.  And we appreciate what you’re doing so much.

It helps us as much as it does anybody else.  I go up to the television set, Richard, when you put your hands up there and put my hands I begin to feel a tingling, the power of God begins to work in my hands while I’m up there.  And, I tell you, there’s power coming out of that television set.

OR: I walked up there one night and touched your hands and it knocked me down.  I mean, the power of God was so strong, it just knocked me down.

ER: Praise God, praise God.

RR: Dad, the Bible says that God worked through the hands of the apostles.

OR: Well, through the hands of His disciples.  And we are a disciple.

RR: That’s right, we are.

LR: Exactly right.

OR: It didn’t die with the twelve apostles.  If it did, then the historians would have looked at the last one who died.  The twelfth one was John.  The last one died after he wrote the book of Revelation, so they’d had to have gotten the year and the month and the week and the day and the hour and the minute and the second and said, “He’s dead.  Miracles are over.  All the people born after this can never have a chance to be healed.”

So you see what a lie of the devil that is, that God would love them more and just the few that was on the earth than He would love the multiplied hundreds of millions on the earth today who are sicker, they’re sicker than they were then.  But the God we serve is a good God.

LR: And He’s the same.

OR: An eternal God, and the same yesterday, today, and forever.

Father, I thank You just as You loosed me by Your Word and by Your Spirit, I thank You that You would loose these women by Your Holy Spirit right now from every stronghold of their mind and every bondage in their body.  Lord, I ask You to heal their metabolisms.  Lord, they may be saying, “You don’t understand. My metabolism is totally out of balance.”  Lord, You made them. You formed them, and You forged them.  Lord, You can restore what the doctors can’t.

Lord, I ask that You would just go into those bodies right now.  I ask that the heat and the healing presence of God would go into those bodies right now and restore their metabolism and put everything in the digestive systems back into order, in the name of Jesus.  And, Lord, we just give You all the praise and all the honor and all the glory, amen.

RR: Lindsay, there are people all over the country receiving this prayer, receiving healing tonight.

LR: You know, I was on a very bizarre opposite end of the spectrum only a few months ago, and I have never had an eating disorder in my life, never focused on food, but I have a fanaticism about eating the way the Bible talks.  And I don’t do a lot of chemicals.  I don’t do junk food.  My kids don’t get junk food. We don’t do drive through.  And it’s a joke in our house, my daughter says we only eat slow food, we don’t eat fast food. Chloe, of course. And I was accused of being compulsive, anorexia, by a medical doctor because of my outlandish behavior by being so fanatic.

And I tried to walk him through basically Genesis through Revelation, that there really is I know this may sound strange to people but there is a Bible way to eat.  The Bible tells you there’s certain animals you are not to touch. The Bible tells you that there’s food that is unclean.  The Bible tells you that we’re to spout the wheat and not crack and crush the wheat.  I know that sounds crazy, but that’s in Ezekiel.

SPLR LINDSAY ROBERTS God knows what you’re going through right now.  So right now,  PRLR Father God, in the name of Jesus, I pray for a mighty miracle.  I pray for my brother, for my sister, for my partner who needs a miracle right now.  And, Father God, You gave me so many miracles, I could hardly count them all.  So what You did for me, God, I pray in the name of Jesus that You would do for my partner.  In Jesus’ name, right now call it out. Call out your need.  Name your need right now.  And in Jesus’ name, I know, Lord, You’re hearing those needs and I ask You to meet those needs.  And, Satan, in the name of Jesus, I rebuke you. I cast you out.  I command you by the power and the authority of the name of Jesus for you to take your hands off God’s property, to take your grip off of God’s people.  In the name of Jesus, I speak health and I speak wholeness into your body and I command it to come forth now.  In Jesus’ name, amen. Lindsay, we’ve been sharing, each day this week we’ve been sharing a little clip, a little clip from the movie to help get you acquainted.  Now of course this is the story of a young boy named Davie who has tuberculosis.  And it’s the story, the trauma in his life and his parents’ life of what sickness really does to a family.  And then of course how God brought a great miracle.  And of course that’s the exciting conclusion of the movie, the miracle.  And it’s a dramatic thing.  And so many people have received Christ and received healings in their own bodies as they’ve watched this movie. But there’s a very, some very funny moments in this movie and what I want to share with you right now is a little clip from the movie itself that’s–well, I won’t try to describe it to you.  I’ll just let you watch it.  It’s–well, I’ll just let you watch it.  Here it is.  ROLL-IN OF VENTURE INTO FAITH 

And, Lindsay, here’s another.  This is from Quincy, Florida, and this is from yesterday’s program.  Yesterday our guests were Dexter and Birdie Yager, and Dexter shared the testimony of how he had had a stroke in 1985 and how God–was it in ’85?  (’86)  ’86 he had a stroke and we’ve been praying and he’s been slowly being restored back to the use of his right side.  And here is a testimony from Quincy, Florida.  “I had a stroke myself in 1985 and I was completely paralyzed on the right side.  But I want you to know God has healed me.  I’ve just been listening to the man on your program”–that’s Dexter Yager who was on yesterday. “I’ve been listening to that man on your program who was healed of a stroke and God has healed my body.  I have movement on my right side again.”  Praise God.

SPLR LINDSAY ROBERTS Hallelujah.  Praise God.  You know, that’s why we do testimonies. That’s why we have people come and share what the Lord’s done for  SL01 them.  Because the Bible says God is no respecter of persons. ( LR_Acts_10:34 ) And what God did for Dexter Yager, by the faith of a person believing God could do it for them, this man was healed.  It’s like a chain reaction. If you will believe and expect that what God did for your neighbor He can do for you, what God did for Richard Roberts He can do for you, it’s going to begin to happen because Jesus said He is no respecter of persons.  O.K.” 

This is from a lady named Lillian in New York City.  And she said, “I want to praise the Lord today because He has healed me from arthritis.” Now listen to this.  “Several days ago Richard gave a word of knowledge that someone was being healed in their shoulder and on the right side.” She said, “I had a witness in my spirit, but nothing happened to me in my body.”  She said, “But today I want you to know all of the symptoms are gone.  God is good.”

SPRR RICHARD ROBERTS Lindsay, there’s an unusual number of people here who have received healings on the right side.

SPLR LINDSAY ROBERTS Praise God.  Praise God.  And, you know, just like this lady from New York, she said, “Nothing happened.” She said, “I had a witness on the inside, but nothing happened in my body.”  If that’s happening to you and you know that you know that you know that God is healing you but you don’t see the evidence on the outside, you hold on.  You hang on. We walk by faith and not by sight.  You don’t let go.  You just keep saying, “No, devil, God made a promise to me in His Word and I’m not going to let go.  I won’t let go.  I won’t give up.”  You know, the devil is as persistent in trying to attack us as we are in trying to get well.  And you be persistent.

SPRR RICHARD ROBERTS I’m going to be more persistent to get well.

SPLR LINDSAY ROBERTS You be strong against the devil.  That’s right.  The devil doesn’t just roll over and give up.  So just like this lady, she said, “I had a witness even though it didn’t show on my body on the outside.”  You hold on and say, body, get well.  Body, get well.  Body, get well.  And just like she said, three days later her body got well.  Praise God for it.

SPRR RICHARD ROBERTS While you were talking, Lindsay,  he Lord is giving me a word of knowledge in the knee that someone who has had arthritis pain in the knee and had a difficult time moving your right knee, bending your leg, especially in your right knee and also the pain shoots up into your hip, God is healing you right now.  That’s a word of knowledge I’m giving you.  If I’m describing you, get up and call the Abundant Life Prayer Group right now, 918-495-7777.  Let me know who you are and we’ll share your testimony.  Lindsay, I just feel led to ask you to pray right now.  People are receiving healings and we’re sharing testimonies.  But there may be someone who needs healing right now and I just felt a witness in my spirit to ask you to pray.

SPLR LINDSAY ROBERTS Whatever it is you need right now, I want you to say it right out loud to God.  I don’t care who’s in the bedroom with you, I don’t care if you’re in a bar, if you’re in a jail.  Whatever you need right now, what’s important is you right now, not the people around you.  And I want you to call out your need before God and know that Father God hears things.  He hears your prayers.  He said, “I who planted the eye, can I not see?  I who formed the ear, can I not hear?”  He said, “I hear and I see all your needs.”

SPRR RICHARD ROBERTS God knows.

SPRR RICHARD ROBERTS First generation, not second. First.

SPKM JOHNNY JOHNSON First…. and to rise to that particular level of being the Assistant Secretary of the Navy and in the White House.  (APPLAUSE)  But let me just tell you something.  I want to tell you something about Oral Roberts University.  You know, when everybody around was looking at private schools and so forth, there were no private schools that would open their doors in every department in there to the black race.  I mean, you would go in there and you might find one but never in any position…. in fact, like singing with a group or helping with the TV  SU04 programs and cameras, you never saw that.  This university, Oral Roberts University, and I had been all over the country…. this university, Oral Roberts University, was the very first one in the United States that opened up its doors and all of its departments to the minority race, the very first one in the United States of America. Those are facts, they’re down, they’re even in the Library of Congress.  By the way, we were looking there to see who was the very first one in there and it was Oral Roberts University.  (APPLAUSE)  And all over the country the people look to this as the beacon light for better understanding between races and so forth.  I was asked this question.  They asked me, “Why is it, Johnny, that Oral Roberts University has opened up its doors when none of the others even thought about it?”  He was the very first one.  And I said, “It was the Holy Spirit really was there.  Others talked about the Holy Spirit, but they act upon the Holy Spirit, and they said, ‘These are God’s people regardless of what color, race, and creed, and kind, and this is going to be open for all the people.’”  That’s the reason why they come here.  (APPLAUSE)

SPRR RICHARD ROBERTS Well, we don’t….. just like you said, it’s not something that we talk about a great deal, we just do it.  I could be very honest with you this morning and tell you that probably 25% of the support that comes in to this ministry comes from blacks.  I thank God for that.

SPKM JOHNNY JOHNSON Praise God for that.  I love it, love it, love it.  (APPLAUSE)

SPRR RICHARD ROBERTS Per capita, they are probably the strongest and most generous givers to this ministry, per capita, of anyone I know.  They are FOR this ministry because they feel like we are for them.  Now is that what you’re trying to say?

SPKM JOHNNY JOHNSON Exactly.  That’s the reason why.  They believe that you are for them, this ministry is really for them.

SPRR RICHARD ROBERTS We have a very large percentage. I’d have to ask, but I’d say maybe as high as 20 percent of ORU would be blacks as well as we have some Hispanic students and other minorities.  We believe people are people. They’re all God’s children.

SPKM JOHNNY JOHNSON I know that.

SPRR RICHARD ROBERTS We don’t talk about it a whole lot.

SPKM JOHNNY JOHNSON But you know what the rather beautiful part is is when you come here and you feel it.  Now when I come in, I feel the love of the people that’s here and they just absolutely engulfed me with that love. That’s the most important thing.  Now I want to tell you something ________________ you don’t know anything about this  SU05 ____________________.  I have a brother who is in California.  My brother was reared up on your dad’s ministry.  He went to the camp meetings and all of this.  He watched your program and he called me last week and my wife told him that I was going to be on the program and he said, “Listen, you tell that young lad”..  (meaning you.  My brother is almost 80 years old)…. He said, “You tell that young lad… you give him this testimony.”  He said, “You give him this testimony.”  He said, “I went to the hospital and the doctor said I had cancer of the colon, that I needed an immediate operation.”  And he said, “The next day I was watching that young lad’s program and he said that God was going to touch somebody out there and he said that the Lord was healing him and he just put his hand right on where I was.  Then he said to go and check it out and see if God has not healed you.”  (APPLAUSE) And he said, “I accepted that and the next day I left and went to another hospital and I told the doctor, ‘Give me a thorough examination,’ and he took a whole day because I don’t get around as well, I’m a little slow, but a whole day and he gave me a thorough exam from top to bottom and he came to me and he looked at me and he said, “Amos, what are you talking about cancer?  There is no cancer anywhere in your body?”  (APPLAUSE)

SPRR RICHARD ROBERTS Johnny, what would you say to someone who is down, maybe who has a negative attitude, maybe they feel like life has dealt them a bad hand, that maybe they say, “Well, I just have not been able to accomplish, Johnny, what you’re been able to accomplish and there’s just no way for me.”  Or perhaps they have sickness or disease in their body or something has gone wrong in their marriage or their home or their family or they are disillusioned in some way?  What would you say to them?

SPKM JOHNNY JOHNSON First of all I would tell them to make a choice.  You see, people choose to be where they are.  It doesn’t matter whether you are negative or positive.  You make that choice.  You make that choice and you say, “I’m going to be set,” and you will be set.  If someone says something to you, you immediately say, “I am going to get angry and I’m not going to like what he said.”  So all of a sudden you become that negative person, but you could do it the other way.  You could  SU06 say, “I’m not going to get angry with that person.  I’m going to forgive that person immediately and then I’m going to love them.” You see, love is the answer to all of your difficulties.  The first thing you have to do is to forgive that person.  Then when you forgive that person, you lift the burden off you and you can love them.  You can’t love someone until you forgive them.  And you must have that love that passes all understanding, a love that you cannot see, you cannot feel, but you know it’s in your spirit.  Not in your head, but it’s in your spirit.  (APPLAUSE) And every time you squeeze, love comes out.

SPRR RICHARD ROBERTS Johnny, they’ve hurt me too bad and I can’t forgive them.  I just can’t let this thing go.

LR: And it looked like a disaster.

BK: That’s right.  And they went out.  But if you study the children of Israel, even though they were in the wilderness, nothing bad had happened to them.  God was providing for them.  He was taking care of them.  But the disruption was that God didn’t tell them that there was a process to come out of Egypt into the Promised Land.  There was a process.  They had to sit on a few brown rocks along the way.  They had to trust God for their food.  They had to trust God for their provisions, you know.

And I know there’s people watching today who they’re trusting God for the provision and they’re asking God, “God, what’s going on?  You gave me this promise.  You told me the destiny.  I’ve had prophetic words.  I’ve trusted the Scripture.”

LR: And of course we want it to happen in 37 seconds or less.  Really less.

BK: Yes, probably less, probably by the time the church service is over—

LR: We walk out, and it’s all done.

BK: That’s right.  But we don’t realize there’s a process that has to happen.  And what God is doing is, He’s building you with the anointing and His presence so you can handle the greatness.

LR: When things hit, you might have been prepared.

BK: That’s exactly right.  And God’s things are precious.  The greatness of the anointing of God, the greatness of His anointing is something that He wants to manifest through every believer.  I talk about in the book that every believer has an anointing.  Every believer possesses the power of God in their life to manifest miracles, to do the works of Jesus, to see the sick healed.

But the process of developing into that sometimes requires some disruptions.  It happened with the prophet Elijah.

LR: We want fairy dust and, what is that, tiptoe through the tulips.

BK: God disrupted the children of Israel so that they could get ready for what was to take place.

LR: Remember when the Scripture says, you know, “Don’t let the foot say, I have no need of the hand.  Don’t let the hand say”—you know, if we’re all ears, who speaks?  If we’re all mouthpieces, we can’t hear.  Everybody has their individual part to play. 

Now you take that thought and you couple it with line upon line, precept upon precept.  It’s like building blocks.  Okay, so here’s Christy in the church, you are sisters in the church, and so instead of saying, “You know, I want to be the worship leader.”  “Well, I want to preach.”  How is it that you find that place of where—here’s the key word, big word, four letters—your anointing is?

Now you may think, Oh, but that anointing was so much more fun.  Or, I don’t want to be on television.  You know what I’m saying?  Everybody thinks they have their perception of what their place should be.

BK:. . . disruption.

LR: Yes.  How is it that God gets our attention, and how do we know it’s God and not the devil disrupting us to get us into that position of divine place?

BK: Well, one thing I know for us is, the biggest thing—and we grew up together—is our hunger has always been first the kingdom, first the kingdom.  We share and we talk.  We’re hungry first for the kingdom.  And I know that there’s times we have these conversations.

CH: She’s a fabulous cook.  Only she could have pulled this off.

BK: So all you do is, you just want to, you know, spread it over just like that.

LR: And that’s it.

BK: We usually serve it with like basmati rice, buttered rice and some—

LR: She’s going to get fancy on us. 

CH: She’s the gourmet.

LR: Now I have to tell you, Hank admitted this was his favorite thing when she does the salmon, and had no idea it started out a bomb.  It was a total disaster.  So I tell you what, we’re going to talk about that in just a minute.  We’re going to talk about taking what may by the world’s standards seem to be a total disaster and how God can take that mess and turn it into a miracle.  Stay tuned.  We’re going to be right back. 

PRAYER CLOTH AD

LR: Okay, now officially, this is Brenda Kunneman.  She and her husband Hank are pastors of the church, The Lord of Host Church, in Omaha, Nebraska, One Voice Ministry, if you want to go on the website, ovm.org, and her sister Christy, the chef of the family.

BK: Yes, she is, extraordinaire. 

LR: She is great.  Well, let me tell you what really happened.  We went up to Omaha to preach in your church and, you know, I tell you something began to transform at that church.  We were ready to minister, and as we were getting ready to minister, Christy starts singing.  And I’ll tell you something, the Spirit of the Lord, it was as though—you know when the Bible talks about a descending?  You could just feel it descending down.  It was amazing.

And so, I tell you, you take a team like your teaching, your preaching, your husband’s preaching and his prophetic ministry and you and your husband in worship, and you get a whole package—I’ll tell you what, when that happens.

Newest book, the newest book you’ve called The Supernatural You, living from the well of God’s Spirit within you, you were talking about divine disruption.  Many times we talk about disruptions in our life, and we think, Oh, why did God do this to me?, when, in fact, God didn’t do something to you.  He is saving you from something.

And we have to recognize through the Holy Spirit, through listening to the voice of God, what’s the difference between a divine disaster, or a divine disruption, where God himself says, “Pumpkin, I’m saving you from something.”

BK:Well, you know, I’m thinking about the children of Israel, you know, because the Bible said what happened to them happened for our example.  So, Lindsay, when I think about a divine disruption, I think about them.  God was taking them out of Egypt into the Promised Land.

LR: She said, “I know it’s terrible to think like that, but I must tell you I’m really tired.”  And she said, “Please pray for me.”

And then she said, “I’m enclosing a Seed-Faith gift.”  And she said the amount.  And the amount of the Seed-Faith gift is according to Malachi 3:10 and 11, where it says, “Bring ye tithe and offering into the storehouse and expecting God”—He said, “Prove me, and see if I’ll not open you the windows of heaven, pour you out a blessing, and rebuke the devourer.”

Now in the name of Jesus, I pray for peace and rest on you, sweetie, for God to bring you peace and rest and you to be a strong caretaker and for these suicide thoughts to go.  And the Bible says you’ll live and not die and declare the works of the Lord.  We pray over you right now for that.

This one called and said, “Please pray for depression.”  I can’t even begin to tell you the number of stacks of prayer requests that we’ve had over depression.  We speak right now in the name of Jesus—this person’s from Pennsylvania.  And she sowed a Seed-Faith gift, and she said, “I am expecting a miracle as I plant my seed.”

All right, in the name of Jesus, we speak to anyone with depression.  In the name of Jesus, we break the bondage of depression.  And we say, in Jesus’ name, don’t have a breakdown; have a breakthrough, in Jesus’ name.

And then one more I want to read real quickly.  And she said she has a specific need.  And she said she just feels like giving up, just giving up.

You know what?  I’m going to tell you one more time.  And, again, I’m reading the phone number because I’m not real good about these phone numbers—866-870-6932, 866-870-6932.  Stressed, pressured, frustrated, yep, I know how you feel.  I didn’t write this book out of la-la land.  I wrote this book out of experience.  Believe me, I know what it feels like.  There are days when I wrote this book that I thought, I’m so stressed, I can’t write a stress book.  Now that’s ridiculous.  But it’s the truth.  Sometimes we feel so stressed.

LR: And, you know, we’re sitting here live, believing God for those same miracles that you saw on that roll-in to come into your life.  Now I’ve got three different groups here, and this group is testimonies since last night that have been healed as a result of prayer.  This group is sowing a financial seed, believing God for financial miracles and any other miracle that they have need of.  According to Malachi 3, when you give offering, then God rebukes the devourer for your sake.  That’s what He wrote in Malachi.

And then this group is believing for miracles, and this particular group have just now called in.  And I want to go through these as fast as we can because there’s quite a big stack.  And then we’re going to go in the back and pray again with the Abundant Life Prayer Group.

I want you to listen to this.  And if you see yourself in any of these categories, and as we’re praying for these categories, you attach your faith to that prayer and believe God for your miracle.

LR: I’m right here in the Abundant Life Prayer Tower on the campus of Oral Roberts University.  And right as you see where I just walked out of, we walked out live with the Prayer Group praying.  And I do have a couple of prayer requests that have just come in.  And before we get to those, I do want to tell you something.  Are you pressured, stressed, frustrated?  Look me in the face.  Yes!  Okay, so we’ve accomplished that much.  We know what the problem is.

This book I wrote, it says, “Take charge of the negative situations that come to attack you.  Overcome them with the Word of God.”  I want to give this to you.  Normally this book is for sale.  And you know what?  I’ve had a lot of fun writing it.  But it’s not about fun writing it or selling it.  It’s about getting it into your hands and understanding that you could take charge of negative situations that come to attack you.  Overcome them with the Word of God.

Satan walks around as a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.  Now I just read that to you.  That’s in the book of 1 Peter.  Satan is trying to devour you.  How do you combat that?  You know what?  I believe we combat it with tithe and offering.  Because Malachi says when you bring tithe and offering into the storehouse, when you give to God’s work, He will open you the windows of heaven, He’ll pour you out a blessing where there’s not room enough to receive it, and He will rebuke the devourer for your sake.

Now one thing I want to do is, from the time that we announced we were going to do this, we asked people to call or write in, and we were going to take their prayer request live.  We said it last night on The Hour of Healing.  And two particular prayer requests came in.  I’ve got some stacks over there that we’re going to go through in a minute, and I’ve got some Seed-Faith gifts that people are saying as they sow, they want the devourer rebuked.  So I’m going to read those in a minute.

But listen to this.  This is a person by the name of Tommy, and Tommy called in, right here in Oklahoma, and said that he’s having struggles because of bereavement, that there had been a loss in his family and he had not been able to overcome that.

This other person called in and said that in the city that they live in—the man lives in Pennsylvania—and the particular city that they live in, he said this particular city has just really been rampant with drugs and alcohol and violence in the youth.  And he said he wants to see the youth of his city come to Christ.  He’s also believing for a particular job.          

In the name of Jesus, right now we’re just going to stop for this precious one that’s called in about not being able to get over the loss, bereavement.  The Bible says that Jesus came to heal the brokenhearted.

And for the drugs and alcohol and violence in the city that this precious man called in, I am praying for young people to come to Christ and that city to experience revival, in Jesus’ name.

You know, it’s so simple to just see the need around.  But you know what?  We can fight.  We can’t fight one another, but we can fight the good fight of our faith.  The Bible says.  God requires us to fight one fight, one battle, and that’s the good fight of our faith.

This precious lady wrote in, and I don’t want to give too much information.  But I tell you this, and I’ve never been in this position before.  I have not gotten into a situation remotely like this.  But I tell you, it doesn’t matter how you hurt, Jesus wants you healed. 

She said that she is a caretaker for a family member with Alzheimer’s.  And she said it’s gotten to the point where although she loves this family member very dearly, she’s become a nervous wreck and said, “The only thing I’ve thought about day in and day out is ending my life.”
