Give the Lord praise by Richard Roberts

. . . How many of you can tell the healing power of God went into you, something’s changed?  Look at the hands, hundreds and hundreds of hands. Give the Lord praise.  (Applause)  That’s what this conference is  all about, love and unity through signs and wonders.  That’s what it’s all about.  That’s why we’ve joined together.

We’re not here just so we can get together for three days, although it’s wonderful to be together for three days.  We’re here on special business because we’ve got an assignment.  I’m going to carry out my assignment, how about you?  I’m going to do it with all my faith.  I don’t care what the devil thinks.  I could care less what he thinks about my wife driving a brand-new exus.  (Applause)  And she said if I’m a good boy, one of these days I might even get to drive it.  It hadn’t happened so far. But I did get to ride in it.  Man!  Wow!  Let me tell you what, when somebody gives you a $67,000 car, that ain’t the devil. (Response)  The world didn’t do that one.  Because like that old song said, “The world didn’t give it to her, and the world can’t take it away.”  God did that one.

Now what she didn’t tell you this morning is that those two weeks ago or three or four weeks ago when she had that, when she redlined the car for the second time-and, by the way, we called her other car “the urban assault vehicle because she takes anything that’s in front of her, it doesn’t matter, curbs. Pedestrians, you’d better get out of the way!  When Lindsay gets behind the wheel, God says, “Oh, me!”

And when it was at the worst and the car was being towed away, on a Sunday night after the dealership was closed, because I didn’t want anybody to know that I was out there looking at them-now, you know, they say confession is good for the soul but it’s bad for the reputation-I didn’t want anybody to know.  And we went out there, took our children, and we saw one of those  ars.  And before we knew it, we went over and we laid hands on it.  And we commanded it in the authority of Jesus” name to come in.

And we sowed our seed.  She’d already begun several months earlier paying off that debt on that person’s BMW. And then God showed us to sow a special seed into ORU.  And then you heard what happened yesterday morning.  My, that is a God thing.  I am so thrilled.  It’s time for us to stand up tall and not be ashamed, be embarrassed.  All the silver, all the gold belongs to God.  It doesn’t belong to the world.  (Response)

Eagle by Richard Roberts

And God was fluttering over Israel.  They’d cried for a redeemer, and so God spoke to a man named Moses who once had been to town as a failure.  Any of you know anything about failure? But now this time he was coming back as a deliverer.  And he came in with that same word of that mother eagle, “It’s going to be all right.  I’m the one you’ve been praying for.  You’ve been calling out to God for a deliverer, and God has spoken to me, “Go down, Moses, and deliver My people out of the Egyptian bondage, for I have heard their cry.  I’ve seen their affliction, and I’ve sent you.  It’s going to be all right.?”  Everything is going to be all right, Moses is saying.

And that mother eagle continues to flutter over her young, communicating with them.  And the Bible says the third thing she does is, she spreads forth her mighty wings.  Turn to somebody and say, “That eagle spreads forth her mighty wings.”  (Response)

She spreads them wide.  They’d never seen anything so big in all their lives.  It’s said that eagles” wingspan sometimes can reach three and a half to four meters in length.  Those little eaglets had never seen anything that big in their life.  And they look up and they see that mighty wingspan.  It’s amazing!  And she’s saying, “I can do everything.  There’s nothing too hard for me.  Look at my mighty wingspan.”

And that’s what God was saying to the nation of Israel.  ”Look at the plagues I’m going to do.  Watch the mighty miracles that I’ll do by the hand of Moses.”

I knew that God was about to launch me into a healing ministry.  I didn’t know how.  I didn’t know where, but I knew that God was going to do it.  I’d gone on a national television program, live.  And when the host finished introducing me, he asked me to remain.  And he introduced a woman to come and sit by me.  And I had just barely known the woman, but I knew that she was a fraud and I didn’t want to sit next to her.  I knew she was a fake.

I didn’t want to be next to her.  But I had no choice.  I was on live national television, and I was trained to be a gentleman.  So I sat there by her.  I did sit on the other side of my chair.

God is healing seventy-five people’s backs by Richard Roberts

Stretch your hands out toward them.  Lord, we thank You … and here comes the overflow …

CARLTON: Well, you said seventeen, actually.

RR: Did I say seventeen?

CARLTON: Yeah.

RR: Thank you, Carlton, for correcting me.  Lord, I pray that it never returns.  I pray that it never returns.  I pray that it never returns.  I pray that it never returns.  Lord, thank You for this miracle, that You confirmed the word that You gave me. I pray that it never, never returns, never returns, never returns.  I bind it from returning in the name of Jesus.  Ah, Nahum 1:9, affliction shall not rise up a second time, in Jesus’ name.  (Tongues)  And your shoulders and back too.  The rest of it.  What difference can you tell now?

LADY: The burning’s gone.

RR: The burning’s gone.  Hallelujah!  The rest of it.  Thank You, Lord.  Never to return, I pray.  Never to return.  I bind it from returning, in Jesus’ name.  I bind it from returning, in Jesus’ name.  Come on, somebody give the Lord praise tonight. (Applause)

Listen to me.  God is healing seventy-five people’s backs. Seventy-five of you getting your backs healed right now.  Lay your hand on your back in the authority of Jesus’ name right now. If you see someone with their hand on their back, touch them right now.  Seventy-five people.  God’s going to heal seventy-five backs.

Someone would say, “Well, where do you get the number seventy-five?”  The Holy Spirit just gave me that number.  And I’m being obedient.  And when God does that to you as a minister, you have to make a decision, Brother Strader, are you going to obey and say what He said or are you going to hold back?  And if you hold back, the next time you’ll hold back more.  And the next time you’ll hold back more.  It’s much better to obey.

But you watch.  God’s going to heal seventy-five people’s backs in this building tonight.  You’re going to feel the healing power come on your back.  Lay your hand on someone who’s touching their back right now.  If you see someone with their hand on their back, touch them right now.

The healing power by Richard Roberts

Why won’t we pray for the sick?  We’re afraid we’ll fail. Our job is not to heal.  Our job is to pray.  Our job is to believe.  Our job is to expect a miracle.  We have no healing power.  If we did, we’d heal everybody we see.  But we don’t have all the healing power.  But we have faith.  You say, “Well, I don’t understand the situation.”  Who said you have to understand it all?  There’s nowhere … I’ll do that … there’s nowhere in here where it says you’re going to understand it all.

I didn’t understand it a year ago when my father, by the anointing of the Holy Spirit said to Lindsay and me, “God is speaking to you about a nightly live healing television program. It’s going to become America’s nightly healing service.”  I said, “Well, why doesn’t He just speak to me?  Don’t you know that I’m president of Oral Roberts University?  Don’t you know that I have a lot of responsibility, and don’t you know that we’re only halfway out of debt?  And don’t you know that we’re believing God for this and believing God for that?  I have all on my plate that I can possibly do.”  And he said, “Well, I don’t know about that.  I just know that God is leading you.”  Don’t you love people whotell you that God is leading you?

And we didn’t know what to do.  We prayed, and nothing happened until it became a word inside of us.  He could say it, but it wasn’t until it got down into our spirit, Myles, that we understood and we could say, “Yes, God.”  And we didn’t know what to do.

We already had a television program.  And God said, “Close it down.”  I said, “Well, what do we do if we close it down?” The Lord said, “Why don’t you do what I said to you already through your father, begin a live nightly healing program?” “Well, who would do that?”  “You just leave that to me.  There are men and women across this nation who have Christian television stations.  They’ll put you on.”  I said, “You mean live, in prime time at night?”  He said, “You see what I’ll do.”

And we started with about 20 stations in September.  And tomorrow night we’ll add our 157th.  We’re going on live in Dallas tomorrow night.  (Applause)  And Lindsay and I have started a live nightly healing service, the only one in America. There is no one else except these two right here that are having a healing service five nights a week, live, on television, with the miracle power of God flowing every night, with the gifts of the Spirit flowing.  Not because of me, but because God wants healing.  What?

The power of God we’ve ever known in the world by Richard Roberts

Oh, people, that was something so new to me!  I’d only had 1 or 2 healings in my whole 12 years, that is people healed under my ministry.  And nobody that I knew of, of whom a demon had been cast out when I prayed.

We’re talking about a new world.  Not the world that we live in today, where God’s healing people everywhere, or demons are being cast out.  A revival, in my opinion, is beginning to flow across America and the world.  I think we’re on the verge now of the greatest outpouring of the power of God we’ve ever known in the world!

But at that time, it just wasn’t there.  And we didn’t know what to do about it unless God spoke to us.

ER: And He did speak.  He did speak about that time.  You know, right soon after that, we knew he was going to go from coast to coast, preaching and having tent revivals.  And there was no airport in Enid.  And we asked the Lord where He would like us to move and settle and start our ministry – our healing ministry. And He said Tulsa would be the place.

OR: Because of the airport connection.

ER: Because of the airport connection.  So we had a friend living in Tulsa who had been appointed to? we told the conference we were leaving our church.  And the conference had appointed this friend of ours in Tulsa to come and take the church when we left.

So they said, “Come up here and stay with us 2 or 3 days, while we’re getting ready to move and look for a house.  And we’ll move while you’re here or after you leave.”

We came to Tulsa, and when Oral walked in the door of that house, the Lord said to him, “This is your house.”  And Oscar looked up at Oral and said, “Oral, I just sold my house.”

And Oral said, “Lord, he just sold my house.”  And they gave us a bedroom.  And Oral said to me, “Evelyn, I’ve got to go across town for a little while, and I’ll be back.”
